Heard a Pretty reliable rumour today, that an OnMark Marksman is being fully restored to possibly race at Reno. She will
have a couple of HUGE lumps to drive her round the course...Watch out Rare Bear and watch this space.

Myron T. Johnston II mailed in with this important info:
Thought you would like to
know that The A26 Invader Spirit of Waco Has been returned to CAF HQ's Waco. CAF Ranger Wing No Longer Exists we couldn't
afford to take of the aircraft. Spirit of Waco will be available for Re-Assignment.
My best Guess is that
She will start out on STATIC Display at CAF HQ's, She will Hopefully be Re-Assigned to another CAF "Flying-Unit" that is a
Major Requirement at CAF is that our Units must be Airworthy Flying Units and NOT static displays.
She will probably wind up being Re-painted and Re-Decorated
in some other paint scheme so the Spirit of Waco" will cease to Exist and another Name, Color Scheme and Nose Art will takes
its place.
How long all will take I really don't know, it depends on How
soon she can be re-assigned. I'll see if I can find out something later and let you know. She was the FASTEST aircraft
in the CAF fleet and was capable of flying 430 Mph at full throttle, we seldom if wver flew her more
than 300 to 375.
Myron sent an E Mail to the CAF Executive Director about the
airplane's future and the answer he got back was:
Answers in numerical order: 1. The airplane is up for assignment.
Units who desire the airplane must submit a packet. 2. There is no plan to change the current scheme. 3. No way to
know. If it stays at HQ it wouldn't be flown as HQ staff does not have pilots for this or any other CAF airplane
Thank you Myron.
